SynthMotion Pte. Ltd. ("SynthMotion", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA") of Singapore. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal data when you visit synthmotion.life, contact us, enrol in programmes or engage our computer vision, robotics AI and motion intelligence services.

By using our website or services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required under the PDPA, we will obtain your consent before collecting, using or disclosing your personal data, except where permitted or required by law.

3. Personal data we collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data depending on your interaction with us:

  • Identity and contact data: full name, job title, company name, email address, telephone number and postal address.
  • Enquiry and communication data: messages submitted through contact forms, email correspondence, meeting notes and briefing materials you provide.
  • Programme and service data: enrolment details, attendance records, assessment results, project specifications and technical requirements for computer vision and robotics integrations.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referral URLs and cookie identifiers as described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Payment and billing data: invoicing details and transaction references processed through our accounting systems. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Vision and sensor data: where you engage our services, we may process image, video or sensor data from your environments strictly for the purposes agreed in service agreements, subject to separate data processing terms.

We collect personal data directly from you, from your organisation when you are nominated as a contact, from publicly available business directories, and automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you browse our website.

4. Purposes of collection, use and disclosure

We collect, use and disclose personal data for the following purposes:

  • Responding to enquiries, motion briefing requests, vision enquiries and pilot programme applications.
  • Delivering programmes (SMX-101 through SMX-601), professional services and company success reviews.
  • Engineering, training, evaluating and deploying computer vision, robotics AI and motion intelligence systems as contracted.
  • Managing accounts, invoicing, payment collection and financial record-keeping.
  • Complying with legal obligations, regulatory requirements and responsible AI governance frameworks.
  • Improving our website, services and customer experience through analytics where you have consented.
  • Sending service-related communications, programme updates and — with consent — marketing about motion AI capabilities.
  • Protecting our rights, preventing fraud and ensuring the security of our systems and facilities.

We will not use your personal data for purposes incompatible with those described above without notifying you and, where required, obtaining fresh consent.

5. Legal basis and consent

Under the PDPA, we rely on consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests and legal obligation as appropriate bases for processing. Contact form submissions require explicit PDPA consent via checkbox — this consent is not pre-checked. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting [email protected], though withdrawal may affect our ability to provide certain services.

6. Disclosure to third parties

We may disclose personal data to:

  • Service providers who assist with hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing and IT infrastructure — bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Professional advisers including lawyers, accountants and auditors where necessary.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes collected, including satisfying legal, accounting and reporting requirements. Enquiry records are typically retained for three years. Programme and service records are retained for seven years or as required by contract. Cookie preferences are stored for six months. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

8. Data security

We implement administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of personal data, including access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting on Singapore and Asia-Pacific infrastructure, staff training and incident response procedures. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your account credentials.

9. Your rights under the PDPA

Subject to exceptions under the PDPA, you have the right to:

  • Access personal data we hold about you and obtain information about how it has been used or disclosed.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent.
  • Request that we cease processing or delete personal data where permitted by law.

10. Children's data

Our services are directed at business and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under eighteen without parental or guardian consent. Contact us if you believe we have inadvertently collected such data.
